Sydney Lunabotics is a group of 16 undergraduate students designing and building a robot for the 2013 NASA Lunabotics Mining Competition. The international competition has robots compete against one another to navigate an arena, mine lunar soil, and deposit it into a collection bin.
Sydney Lunabotics also conducts outreach activities promoting education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in schools and in the wider community.
The team has recently completed several mechanical and software tests, and has begun assembling a prototype robot.

Sydney Lunabotics is thankful to be supported by Dr. Ali Goktogan from the Australian Centre for Field Robotics, and also for the support of the University of Sydney.
