Blast off in a high-energy workshop that explores rocketry, projectile motion and scientific inquiry. Participants will think like engineers as they iteratively design, test and improve paper rockets.

Learning outcomes

In this activity, students will:

  • Explore basic principles of rocket design and projectile motion.
  • Design, make, and test a paper stomp rocket.
  • Investigate how launch conditions and design changes influence flight distance.

Our department recognises the First Peoples of this Nation and their ongoing cultural and spiritual connections to the lands, waters, seas, skies, and communities.

We Acknowledge First Nations Peoples as the Traditional Custodians and Lore Keepers of the oldest living culture and pay respects to their Elders past and present. We extend that respect to all First Nations Peoples.
