At the Australian Space Discovery Centre, visitors of all ages can explore the latest innovations in space technologies, through a range of interactive exhibits and displays.
Visitors, please note the following varying opening hours of the Discovery Centre during South Australian (SA) school holidays and during SA school terms.
During SA school holidays
The Discovery Centre will be open for general sessions from:
- 5 – 20 July 2025 (dates included)
- 10am – 5pm on all days
Entry for all visitors is free, but visitors under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a person over the age of 17.
Illuminate Adelaide
Visiting hours are for the public are extended until 9pm on the following days:
- Friday 4 July
- Saturday 5 July
- Friday 11 July
- Saturday 12 July
- Friday 18 July
- Saturday 19 July

The Discovery Centre will be open for general sessions on the following days and time.

Location
The Australian Space Discovery Centre is located on the east end of North Terrace in Adelaide.
Our Lot Fourteen address is Ground floor, McEwin Building | 364-370 North Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000.
There are many on-street and off-street parking options near the Discovery Centre. The closest are:

The closest train station to the Discovery Centre is Adelaide Railway Station. It is a 15-minute walk or a short tram ride from the Railway Station.
Tram
The Discovery Centre can be accessed by the free city loop trams that run frequently along North Terrace. Alight at the Botanic Gardens stop.
Bus
The Discovery Centre can be accessed by a range of bus routes.
