A Statement of Intent was signed between the two national space agencies during the 76th International Astronautical Congress. It sets forth a shared understanding and expression of intent to explore the Korean-funded BRAHE Project.

This international project aims to set up a telescope in Australia that will help identify satellites and space debris in medium to high Earth orbits.

The partners involved in the BRAHE project are the Government of Australia, the University of Western Australia, the Australian National University, the Government of the Republic of Korea, and the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute.
